Ministry of External Affairs, Govt. of India, is organizing the 2nd Edition of Bharat Ko Janiye (BKJ) Quiz-2018-19, for PIOs and NRIs aged between 15-35 Years. Those eligible are strongly encouraged to participate in this prestigious event. Govt. of India would give awards to winners of each round of the competition. Once registered on the official web portal, contestants can participate in this Quiz online for the 1st round, during July 19-21, 2018.

The website for 2nd Edition of BKJ Quiz is https://www.bharatkojaniye.in/. The registration on the portal is mandatory by the contestant. The quiz will be conducted in 4 rounds.

Eligibility: The online quiz is open for overseas Indian youth between the age of 15 and 35 years, as on 1 January 2019. The quiz will be held for two distinct categories of participants – Non Resident Indians (NRI) Overseas Citizens of India (OCI).

Entry Fee: There is no fee for participation in BKJ Quiz.

Quiz Structure: The quiz will be conducted in 4 rounds. The first round of the Quiz will be conducted by Embassy of India, Dushanbe, online. The second, third and fourth rounds will be conducted by Ministry of External Affairs. The top three contenders of the 1st round will qualify for the second round.

Quiz Process: It is mandatory for the candidate to complete online registration at portal www.bharatkojaniye.in in order to participate in the online quiz to be conducted by Embassy of India, Dushanbe. The winners of first round will be given away medals.

All the eligible NRIs and OCIs of Tajikistan are requested to participate in the Quiz in large numbers and make this BKJ Quiz a grand success. 



Indian nationals of voting age who are absent from the place of ordinary residence in India owing to their employment, education or otherwise outside India, are entitled to have his/her name registered in the electoral roll as “Overseas Electors” in the constituency in one’s place of residence in India as mentioned in one’s passport is located.

In order to enroll NRIs in Electoral Roll as NRI Voters and to make them part of Election Process, Government of India has started a process of registering NRIs in electoral roll. The application for this purpose can be filed in prescribed form in person before the concerned electoral Registration Officer or sent by post or can be filed online on website of Chief Electoral Officer of the concerned state or website of Election Commission of India (eci.nic.in).

After getting enrolled in the electoral roll, such person can cast one’s vote in India during Assembly or Parliamentary election at the respective polling station after showing his/her valid Indian Passport.




    Ministry of External Affairs, Government of India, in association with Government of Uttar Pradesh, is going to organize 15th Pravasi Bharatiya Divas (PBD) Convention from January 21-23, 2019 in Varanasi, Uttar Pradesh.  The 15th PBD Convention will be followed by participation in Kumbh Snan in Allahabad (January 24, 2019) and Republic Day Parade (January 26, 2019) in New Delhi.  The theme of 15th PBD Convention is:

"Rol of Indian  Diaspora in building a New India"

    Embassy of India, Dushanbe, invites all PIOs and NRIs living in Tajikistan to participate in the 15th PBD Convention on above-mentioned dates, in large numbers and make the event a successful celebration of  strength and unity of Indian Diaspora living abroad.
