Independence Day 2025

Embassy of India in Dushanbe hosted the annual National Day reception to celebrate the 79th Independence Day Of India, attended by over 300 distinguished guests, including senior Tajik government officials, members of the diplomatic corps, the Indian community, and local media.
H.E. Mr. Zavqizoda Zavqi Amin, Minister of Economic Development and Trade of Tajikistan, graced the occasion as Chief Guest, accompanied by H.E. Mr. Sharifzoda Farrukh Homiddin, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs.
Ambassador Mr. Rajesh Uike, in his address, reflected on the significance of Independence Day and the vision of Amrit Kaal—India’s journey toward becoming a developed nation by 2047. He also emphasized the commitment to strengthening India–Tajikistan relations for the mutual benefit of the people of both countries.
The celebrations concluded with vibrant cultural performances by the ICCR sponsored Sapphire Creations Dance Company from Kolkata, alongside renowned Tajik artists and students of the Swami Vivekananda Indian Cultural Centre, Dushanbe.
