The Embassy of India is pleased to inform that the Indian Rice Exporters’ Federation (IREF), in collaboration with the Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) — the nodal export promotion authority under the Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Government of India — is organizing the Bharat International Rice Conference 2025 (BIRC 2025) from October 30–31, 2025 at Bharat Mandapam, Pragati Maidan, New Delhi.
India is the world’s largest producer and exporter of rice, including premium basmati varieties, renowned for their quality and competitive pricing. BIRC 2025 will be the largest rice-focused exhibition and conference to date, bringing together stakeholders from across the rice value chain — exporters, importers, research and technology institutions, start-ups producing value-added products, Farmer Producer Organizations (FPOs), financial institutions, shipping agencies, and related government bodies — on a single platform.
As India’s agricultural production continues to rise, the country is poised to play a pivotal role in global agri-trade, contributing to global food security. BIRC 2025 will serve as a strategic forum to reaffirm India’s commitment to reliable and sustainable food exports and to strengthen partnerships with key importing nations.
