Passport Services

Information on Indian passport.

1. Indian passports are normally issued for a period of 10 years.

2. The passport can be renewed any time between one year before and six months after the actual date of expiry.

3. All applicants for passport services are also required to produce/show their valid visas/resident cards for proof of their lawful residence in the Tajikistan.

A Passport is a very important document. It should be kept up to date by renewing it before it expires. Its loss should be reported immediately to the local Police authorities and also to the nearest Indian Mission.

PASSPORT ONLINE:

All passport applicants are requested to apply for passport online at https://embassy.passportindia.gov.in/

While filling up passport application online please select the Mission as TAJIKISTAN-DUSHANBE. After filling up personal details, a Web File Number and Application form shall be generated and can be printed by the applicant. Please IGNORE the date of appointment given by online system. In case applicants are unable to get the printout of the filled-up form due to any reason, the same can be printed later by entering the Web File Number and Date of Birth.

The applicants should approach the Embassy with the following documents:

1. Printed copy of online Application Form duly filled up in English.
2. One (1) color photo of 2” x 2” size.
3. Photocopy of all relevant pages of passport.
4. Original passport (will be returned after verifying personal particulars)
5. Copy of current Tajik visa.

After receipt of all relevant documents, the electronic data would be up-linked through internet and passports would be printed in New Delhi. Printed Passports are sent to this Embassy from New Delhi. The process takes minimum of 15 to 20 days. Therefore, applicants are requested to apply for passports sufficiently in advance.

WORKING HOURS:
Applications are accepted at the counter between 1000-1200 hours on all working days and passports are delivered between 1630 – 1800 hours.

ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
(i) Please read all instructions on the application form carefully before filling it out.
(ii) Application forms should be filled in full, legibly and accurately. Incomplete and illegibly filled forms are returned without service.

PASSPORT IN LIEU OF LOST OR STOLEN PASSPORT :

In case of lost or stolen passport, print of online filled in application form should be accompanied with copy of FIR lodged with local police station, copy of lost passport and proof of identity like driving license, Institute ID card or letter from employer.

SEPARATE PASSPORTS TO MINOR CHILDREN :
All minor children will need a separate passport valid for 5 years from the date of issue or till 15 years of age whichever is less.
