Guidelines for issue of different kinds of visa

 

Bringing /carrying Thuraya Satellite phones is illegal in India. Foreigners are advised not to bring Thuraya Satellite phones to India.

 

Government of India has launched a 24X7 Toll Free Multi-lingual Tourist Help Line.  This service is available on the toll free number 1800111363 offering a "multi-lingual helpdesk" in 12 international languages namely, Arabic, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Chinese, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish besides Hindi and English.  The helpline advises callers during the times of distress, if any, while travelling in India and alerts the concerned authorities, if required.



Revised e-Visa fee for Tajikistan (As per available details):

30-Days e-Tourist Visa for lean period (April-June) : $ 10
30-Days e-Tourist Visa (July –March): $25
1-Year e-Tourist Visa: $40
5-Years e-Tourist Visa $80

 

Note: Foreign Nationals travelling on Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) are allowed entry into India on the new passport even if ETA has been issued on old passport, provided foreign nationals carry the old passport on which ETA was issued.

 

NOTICE

 EMBASSY OF INDIA, DUSHANBE HAS STARTED CAPTURING BIOMETRICS OF VISA APPLICANTS WITH EFFECT FROM 01 APRIL, 2017. IT IS MANDATORY FOR ALL APPLICANTS SEEKING INDIAN VISA TO VISIT INDIAN EMBASSY IN PERSON TO SUBMIT THEIR DOCUMENTS AND GETTING THEIR BIO-METRICS CAPTURED. PERSONS BELOW THE AGE OF 12 YEARS AND ABOVE 70 YEARS ARE EXEMPTED FROM GIVING BIOMETRICS.

EMERGENCY VISA :

 EMBASSY OF INDIA MAY CONSIDER ISSUANCE OF VISA TO THE APPLICANTS WHO ARE IN DISTRESS/EXTREME EMERGENCY AFTER SUBMISSION HOURS OF PASSPORT/DOCUMENTS AND ALSO DURING HOLIDAYS. AN ADDITIONAL EMEGENCY FEE OF TJS 452 OVER AND ABOVE THE NORMAL VISA FEE WOULD BE CHARGED FROM THE APPLICANT IN SUCH CASES. HOWEVER, CONSIDERATION OF EMERGENCY WILL BE THE SOLE DISCRETION OF EMBASSY OF INDIA.

 

The visa application form is to be filled up online at https://indianvisaonline.gov.in/visa. Applicants should take a print out of the completed Application Form, attach one passport size coloured photogaphs (2 inch x 2 inch - white background) and the application should be duly signed by the applicant before submitting at the visa counter of the Embassy.

 

Document Checklist for Tourist Visa:

• Original passport with minimum validity of 6 months and at least two blank pages in the passport.

• Copy of the photo page of the International Passport 

• No Objection certificate from any one of the parent in case the child is accompanying any relative or friend instead of parents.

• Documentary proof of availability of funds.

 

Documents Checklist for Medical Visa:

• Original passport with minimum validity of 6 months and at least two blank pages in the passport.

• Letter of treatment and recommendation for India from treating doctor in Tajikistan.

• Letter from Indian hospital agreeing to admit the patient.

• Proof of availability of sufficient funds for treatment

 

 

Document Checklist for Business Visa:

• Original passport with minimum 1 year validity.

• Invitation letter from the concerned Indian company (along with copy of the registration of the company) 

• Proof of registration of the firm with the state industries department or the export promotion council concerned or any recognized promotional body in the relevant field of industry or trade.

• A supporting letter from the Tajik company in English (along with copy of the registration of the company. English translation of the registration is also required).

• Two way air tickets(optional) 

• Hotel booking(optional) 

• Copy of the photo page of the International Passport 

• The applicant who is the promoter/director of a company registered in India under Companies Act should normally present original or certified copy of the Memorandum & Article of Association issued by Registrar of Companies where the company is registered for inspection.

* Family members/dependants of a foreigner who is granted Business visa shall be granted ‘X’ visa.

 

Document Checklist for Student Visa :

• Admission letter signed by the Director, International Students Centre or by the International Students Advisor of a recognized Universities/ institutions/ colleges in India along with duration of the academic course of study (scanned, fax and messages by  e-mail are not accepted).

• Proof having deposited tuition fee.

• Proof showing that the applicant has a adequate funds for at least 4 months sustenance in India, or produce travelers cheques for a similar amount.

• Original passport with minimum 6 months validity and two blank pages.

• Online visa form should be filled out.

• One passport-sized color photograph.

• Copy of the photo page of the International Passport.

Transit visa

• Original passport with minimum validity of 6 months and at least two blank pages in the passport.

• Air tickets to the destination via India or Visa for the final destination 

• Copies of the relevant pages of the Internal Passport (front page and the page where the address is mentioned)

• Copy of the photo page of the International Passport

 

EMPLOYMENT VISA :

“The Employment Visa would be issued from the country of origin, or from the country of domicile of the foreigner provided the period of permanent residence of the applicant in that particular country is for more than 2 years."

 

Documents Checklist for Employment Visa:

• Original passport with minimum validity of 6 months and at least two blank pages in the passport.

• Copy of the of the International Passport  

• Contract of Employment. 

• Visa support letter from the employer company mentioning:

• a) Total number of existing employees

• b) Number of foreigners employed

• c) Profile of the company

• Copy of the Certificate of Incorporation under the Companies Act or proof of registration of the firm in the State Industries Department or the concerned Export Promotion Council, any recognised promotional body in the field of industry and trade etc. of the Employer company/institution.

• Copy of the Memorandum & Article of Association of the employer company under Companies Act

• Documents, which prove that the employer company is actually functional on ground.

• Documents, which prove that the applicant is genuinely qualified for the job offered.

 

Employment visa applications to work with proprietary concerns, shops and partnership firms are normally not accepted.

• In case of Pilots, copy of security clearance and valid flying license are also required 

• Copy of Degree/Diploma. English translation of diploma/degree is also required.

 

 In addition to above the applicant deputed to India for the execution of a project/contract need to furnish following additional documents/information:

 

1.   Copy of the contract between Indian and the Tajik company.

2.   Visa support letter from the Indian company which shall also be responsible for the conduct of    the foreign national during his stay and also for his departure upon expiry of visa.

3.   Visa support letter from the foreign company. If an existing employee of the foreign company is deputed for the execution of the contract/project then it should be clarified in the visa support letter. Alternatively, if the applicant is engaged only for the execution of the contract/project then copy of the Employment Contract may be provided.

 

Entry Visa ('X' Visa) :

Entry Visa for the family members of those who are going on long term Business visa or Employment Visa:

• Original passport with minimum validity of 6 months and at least two blank pages in the passport.

• Letter from ‘B’ or ‘E’ visa holder’s company requesting for visa to the family members. In case the ‘B’ or ‘E’ visa is already issued then copy of visa is also needed.

• Copy of the photo page of the International Passport.

Documents to be attached with each visa application for Conference Visa:

• Clearance from nodal Ministry concerning that Central/State Government has cleared /approved the Conference/Seminar/Workshop.

• Invitation from the organization hosting the Conference/Seminar.

• Visa support letter from the institute/ organization where the applicant is employed. (Original)

• Original passport with minimum validity of 6 months and two blank pages in the passport.

• Photo copy of the photo page of the International passport

• Photo copy of the photo page and registration page of the domestic passport 

• Photo copy of the air ticket/ booking, if available.

• Photo copy of the hotel booking, if available.

For other Nationals than Tajik, following additional documents are also to be furnished

• Copy of registration certificate / copy of visa or copy of work permit (if available) in Tajikistan

• Additional form for Foreigners (This is in addition to visa application form)

• Maximum 72 hours required for verification from the Indian Mission of their origin country.

 

Citizens of the Tajikistan and other foreign nationals normally resident in the Tajikistan can obtain visa from the Embassy.

 

WORKING HOURS
Visas applications can be submitted at the Consular wing of the Embassy of India, Tajikistan from 10:00 hrs to 12:00 hrs on all working days. Visas can be collected from the same place on the specified dates from 1630 hrs to 18:00 hrs. We are closed on Saturdays & Sundays.
