Distinguished Guests, Yoga Enthusiasts, Dear Friends,

Namaskar! Good Morning!
It gives me immense pleasure to welcome you all to this special celebration of the International Day of Yoga 2025 here in Dushanbe, Tajikistan.
Today, as we gather here in harmony, we join millions around the world in honoring an ancient tradition that India proudly shares with the global community.
Yoga is more than a physical practice—it is a journey of body, mind, and soul, all together. It teaches us inner and outer balance, discipline, awareness, and peace within ourselves and with the world around us.
Since the United Nations declared June 21st as the International Day of Yoga, this day has become a global celebration of wellness and peace.
The theme of the International Day of Yoga celebration this year is ‘One Earth, One Health.’ This theme beautifully reflects the interconnectedness of all life on our planet and emphasizes the importance of a holistic approach to health and well-being – a lifestyle that embraces harmony between humanity and nature.
I am happy to note that yoga is gaining popularity in Tajikistan, with growing interest in yoga among people of all ages and backgrounds. Many fitness clubs and dedicated studios now offer Yoga as a discipline, led by trained instructors and practitioners. Apart from these, many individuals have already made Yoga a part of their daily lives, experiencing its positive benefits.
Hon’ble Chairman, I would like to inform you that over the past week, we organized a series of yoga-related activities at various venues across the Dushanbe city. These events aimed to raise awareness about the benefits of yoga and encouraging people of all ages to adopt a healthier, more mindful lifestyle. And, we are truly delighted by the enthusiastic participation and positive response that we received from the people of Dushanbe city.
Our today’s event marks the main and concluding celebration of the International Day of Yoga 2025 in Tajikistan.
In today’s event, we will practice Yoga together. We are grateful to Ms. Umeda Pirmatova for leading today’s yoga session. Her dedication to spreading the benefits of yoga has inspired so many to embrace it. I would like to extend my heartfelt thanks to her.
In the end, let us remember that yoga is not only about asanas or physical postures, but also about cultivating compassion, mindfulness, and inner strength. In a world facing numerous challenges and uncertainties, the timeless wisdom of yoga offers us a path to individual resilience and global harmony.
Once again, I thank each one of you for your presence and wish you a joyful and enriching Yoga Day.
I also extend my gratitude to H.E. the Chairman of the Committee of Youth Affairs and Sports, their colleagues in the Committee, the Hon’ble Deputy Mayor, and the Dushanbe City Administration for their kind and generous support in organizing this event and making it a success.
Dhanyavaad! Rahmat! Thank You!
