Digital, Smart”

Your Excellency Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan
Dilrabo Mansuri, Hon’ble Assistant to the President of the Republic of
Tajikistan for Social Development and Public Relations, Excellency Minister of
Education and Science of the Republic of Tajikistan, Excellency Minister of
Economic Development and Trade of the Republic of Tajikistan, Hon’ble Chairman
of the State Committee on Investments and State Property Management of the
Republic of Tajikistan, dear colleagues from Diplomatic Corps, Your Excellency
Rector of the International University of Tourism and Entrepreneurship of
Tajikistan, Doctor of Economics, Professor Asrorzoda Ubaidullo Sattor, Ladies
and Gentlemen,
It is a great honor and
privilege for me to address this distinguished gathering at the International
Forum on “Partnership for Sustainable Development: Green, Digital, Smart.”
At the outset, I would
like to express my sincere appreciation to the organizers for convening this
timely and forward-looking forum, which brings together policymakers,
academics, and experts to discuss pathways toward a more sustainable and
resilient future.
Sustainable development is
no longer a matter of choice—it is a shared global responsibility. Today, the
challenges of climate change, environmental degradation, and rapid
technological transformation require collective action, innovative thinking,
and strong partnerships.
India firmly believes that
the pillars of green growth, digital transformation, and smart innovation are
essential drivers of sustainable development. Guided by the vision of
“Lifestyle for Environment (LiFE)”, India has undertaken significant steps to promote
renewable energy, enhance digital inclusion, and foster smart and sustainable
urban development.
India is proud to be one
of the world’s leading countries in renewable energy expansion and digital
public infrastructure. Initiatives such as Digital India have transformed
governance, increased transparency, and empowered millions of citizens.
In this context, I am
particularly pleased to note that a distinguished delegation from India is
participating in this forum. The delegation includes esteemed representatives
and Rectors of several leading Indian universities, many of which have been recognized
in global Green University rankings for their commitment to sustainability,
environmental responsibility, and innovation.
Their presence here
reflects the growing importance of academic collaboration and knowledge
exchange in advancing sustainable development goals. Universities play a
critical role as centers of innovation, research, and capacity-building,
shaping the leaders and solutions of tomorrow.
India and Tajikistan share
warm and friendly relations, rooted in historical, cultural, and
people-to-people ties. Today, our partnership continues to grow in diverse
fields, including education, technology, and sustainable development.
We believe that there is
immense potential to further strengthen cooperation between our countries,
particularly in areas such as green technologies, digital transformation, smart
infrastructure, and academic exchange.
Let this forum serve as a
platform for meaningful dialogue, exchange of best practices, and the creation
of lasting partnerships that will contribute to a sustainable and inclusive
future for all.
