Speech for the World Football Day

 

 

On the occasion of World Football Day, I extend my warm greetings to the people of Tajikistan and football enthusiasts around the world.

 

Football is more than just a sport — it is a universal language that brings people together, inspires youth, promotes teamwork, discipline and mutual respect.

 

India and Tajikistan share warm and friendly relations, including in the field of sports and youth exchanges. I fondly recall the friendly football interaction between Indian football players and a Tajik team in Hisar, which reflected the spirit of friendship and people-to-people connection between our two countries.

 

I am confident that football will continue to unite communities, encourage healthy lifestyles and strengthen international friendship.

 

I wish all football lovers a joyful celebration of World Football Day.
